Privacy Policy

InterrobangSoft Co., Ltd. (“the Company”) is committed to protecting users’ personal information and complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea. The Company establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy to safeguard users’ rights and interests. Users may refuse consent to the collection, use, provision, or outsourcing of personal information; however, refusal may limit access to all or part of the services.

※ This Privacy Policy applies to all websites, mobile sites, and mobile applications operated by InterrobangSoft.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

The Company processes personal information for the purposes described below. Personal information will not be used for purposes other than those listed, and if the purpose changes, the Company will take necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent pursuant to Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

a. Membership Registration: Identity verification for member services, handling inquiries and complaints, and providing notifications.

b. Customer Management: Responding to service inquiries, customer support, and delivering service-related notices.

2. Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information

The Company collects personal information for membership registration (login), customer support, and service provision as follows:

Membership Registration & Social Login Integration

  • Information collected:
    Google: Name (nickname), email address, profile image, login identifier

  • Retention period:
    Until membership withdrawal.

Customer Support

  • Information collected:
    Email address, inquiry details, device information

  • Retention period:
    In accordance with the retention periods defined in this Privacy Policy.

※ Google Calendar data is linked only with user consent. The Company does not collect or store Google Calendar event data.

The Company retains personal information only for the minimum required period. When the purpose of collection is fulfilled, information is destroyed without delay unless retention is required under relevant laws.

Legal Retention Requirements

  • Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)

  • Records related to the collection and use of credit information: 3 years (Credit Information Use and Protection Act)

  • Records related to labeling/advertising: 6 months (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company processes users’ personal information only within the stated purposes. Personal information is provided to third parties only with user consent or when permitted by law, including Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act. The Company does not otherwise disclose personal information to third parties.

4. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing & Overseas Transfer

a. The Company manages outsourced service providers through contracts that specify confidentiality obligations, prohibition of unauthorized disclosure, liability for incidents, outsourcing period, and destruction procedures.

b. To improve service quality, the Company outsources personal information processing as follows:

  • Service Provider: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Contact: 080-822-1422

  • Purpose of outsourcing: Data storage and analysis through Google BigQuery

  • Destination country: United States

  • Personal information transferred: Email address, profile name

  • Transfer method and timing: Transmitted over the network during login

  • Retention period: In accordance with this Privacy Policy

Users may refuse overseas transfer of their personal information by contacting the Company’s Privacy Officer. However, such refusal may restrict the use of services that require overseas data transfer.

The Company complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

5. Destruction of Personal Information

When the purpose of processing is fulfilled, personal information is destroyed without delay unless retention is required by law.

Information provided by users is deleted after the retention period or upon fulfillment of the purpose. Personal information is not used for any other purposes unless required by law.

All data related to terminated accounts is permanently deleted from the Company’s database.

6. Rights and Responsibilities of Users and Legal Guardians

a. Users and their legal guardians may access or modify their personal information at any time and may withdraw consent through membership withdrawal.

b. Personal information can be viewed or updated in the app via [More] → [Settings], and membership withdrawal is available through [Settings] → “Delete Account.”
Users may also request access/modification/withdrawal via email or phone to the Company’s Privacy Officer.

c. If a user requests correction of inaccurate information, the Company will not use or provide such information until the correction is complete.

7. Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information

The Company takes the following actions to protect personal information:

a. Access Restriction
Personal information handlers are limited to essential personnel only and are trained regularly.

b. Access Control for Unauthorized Users
The Company operates and manages access control systems to prevent unauthorized access.

8. Privacy Officer and Contact Information

To protect personal information and address related inquiries, the Company designates the following Privacy Officer:

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective from December 19, 2023.
